Liquid & Larder, the trailblazing group behind Bistecca, The Gidley and The Rover, have opened a new restaurant and bar, called Alfie’s, on Bligh Street that is set to flip the steakhouse model on its head.

About the Venue

At a time where Sydney’s CBD dining scene is leaning into more grand establishments and slow dining, Alfie’s will push the boundaries and be unapologetically dynamic, fast-paced and impactful while still delivering world-class food, drinks and service. The new concept, which has not yet been seen in Sydney, will disrupt the CBD’s ever emerging trend of American steakhouses and grand brasseries, offering a premium alternative with exceptional value for money.

About the Role

You’ll be reliable, efficient & charismatic amongst the rousing and buzzy atmosphere of the kitchen at Alfie’s. We are assembling a team of Sous Chefs, Junior Sous, Chef de Parties, Commis Chefs & the all important kitchen porters, to work alongside Executive Chef Pip Pratt. Experience in a busy and energetic kitchen with an attention to detail to ensure the consistency & quality is preferred as Alfie’s will be all action.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistency of all food in line with company standards
  • Embody the company culture and promote this within the team
  • Ensure correct maintenance processes are followed for all equipment and general kitchen working surfaces and areas
  • Ensures  staff receive on the job training to the agreed standards of performance and have all necessary skills required by their role.
  • Carries out additional duties required to fulfil the position and as requested
