Delivery Driver

Liquid & Larder, the trailblazing group behind Bistecca, The Gidley and The Rover, have opened a new restaurant and bar, Alfie’s, on Bligh Street in the CBD that is set to flip the steakhouse model on its head and features an in house butchery and aging room.

About the Role

Are you a chef in search of a consistent workweek away from the chaos of service or someone looking to move into the restaurant world? Alfie’s might be the perfect venue for you.

We’re currently in search of a dedicated individual to manage the daily delivery of our beef to all Liquid & Larder venues. This is a Monday to Friday position with an early 7 am start. Your mornings will involve packing, driving, and delivering our beef to our CBD venues, making a full Australian driver’s license essential. After completing deliveries, you’ll return to Alfie’s and assist the kitchen team with morning prep duties. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality is paramount for this role.

This opportunity is tailored for individuals who want to transition away from the hectic service environment and work day shifts exclusively.

The Bistecca experience begins by pulling up a stool or a candle-lit table in the old-world, wood-panelled cocktail bar, stocked with amaro from across the world, including our Four Pillars classic Negroni. Moving into the intimate 50-seat restaurant, you’re greeted by refined Tuscan hospitality. From the table, take in our famous Bistecca butcher’s block and open hearth, which fills the dining room with timeless warmth. The space then flows to a bottle-lined enoteca (wine room) available for private dining.

Bistecca is fast paced, though our guests should be met with a warm, timeless and nostalgic feeling, that is sincere and welcoming. We want them to feel comfortable, and still have a sense of the raw, rustic, and a little bit of cheek!

You’ll be reliable, efficient & charismatic amongst the rousing and buzzy atmosphere of the dining room at Alfie’s. Hosting experience in a busy and energetic venue is preferred as Alfie’s will be all action.

To be a successful part of this team you will  be focused, yet charming and cheeky with the ability to think on your  feet in a fast-paced environment. Experience in an energetic venue with a quick turn around period would be preferable, along with knowledge of SevenRooms.

You will work Monday to Friday, with the majority of your shifts being lunch.

About the Role

We are offering a full time bartender position that calls for adaptability and a willingness to engage in cross-training across various areas of the venue from hosting, shaking tins, walking guests through our food menu & showing everyone a great time. The role is a perfect platform for a committed hospitality individual to perform in a small venue where their personality and customer focussed attitude can shine.

Core responsibilities:

  • Providing uplifting hospitality via food, beverage and service.
  • Making cocktails from a list of seasonal drinks.
  • Hosting the room.
  • Engage with guests and create a memorable experience.

Essential skills & traits:

  • Minimum two years experience working in cocktail bars.
  • Clearly spoken with a friendly, professional and welcoming tone.

  • RSA certification.

Sydney-based hospitality group, Liquid & Larder, are searching for waiters to join the team at our newest venue Alfie’s on Bligh Street.

Alfie’s pushes the boundaries and be unapologetically dynamic, fast-paced and impactful while still delivering world-class food, drinks and service. The new concept, which has not yet been seen in Sydney, will disrupt the CBD’s ever emerging trend of American steakhouses and grand brasseries, offering a premium alternative with exceptional value for money.

About the Role:

You’ll be reliable, efficient & charismatic amongst the rousing and buzzy atmosphere of one of our dining rooms. Waitering experience in a busy and energetic venue is preferred.

You’ll be focused on our guests the moment they walk through the door and join a team that understands camaraderie & banding together to carry out a memorable guest experience.

As such, we are searching for Group Bars Creative ready to inspire, and confident to bring about positive change and growth. Together, we’ll deliver exceptional experiences for our guests at some of Sydney’s most loved venues, Bistecca, The Gidley, The Rover, and our newest addition, Alfie’s.

Essential Requirements of Employment Include:

  • You must have created World-Class cocktail lists
  • Managed a successful cocktail bar for a minimum of three year
  • The drive to develop and deliver structured group training sessions
  • Full Australian work rights
  • Motivated to compete in National Cocktail Competitions
  • Experience in venue inception, particularly in designing bar layouts

About the Role:

  • Working closely with the Liquid & Larder Quality Team
  • Oversee & approve all menu creations in line with strategy & brand
  • Mentor, corrects & train bar teams
  • Implements the goals and objectives of the company.
  • Provides direction and leadership to the bar teams in order to uphold the venue’s philosophy, mission and its annual goals and objectives.
  • Carries out inspections, completes bar audits and reports
  • Has a clear understanding of current global trends and ideas
  • Suggests, amends and trains policy corrections 
  • Continue to drive and grow the business through the menus being put forward
  • Hiring input for key roles.
  • Demonstrates an exceptional and learnt palate and up to date of best practice techniques.
  • On shift weekly as required to ensure quality standards maintained as determined by Head of Quality
