There’s no steak house like Alfie’s. The dining time is fast (90 mins), the sounds are dapper and the meat is prepared in your gaze alongside a red glow thrown from the dry age.
Alfie’s reinvents the idea of the steakhouse as a place of opulence and excess with a stripped back, irreverent and rule breaking cocktail bar and restaurant inspired by the underbelly of East London.
The energy of the venue is explosive, the art is bold, the sounds are edgy and the dining time is fast (just over one hour).
Dining Room reservations can be made online, and walk-in seats are available each day.

Alfie’s fires up Sydney’s steak revolution by flipping the steakhouse model as we know it on its head. The bar and restaurant concept, not yet seen in Sydney, is a stripped-back, irreverent, and rule-breaking establishment inspired by the underbelly of East London.
Entering via the Open-air Terrace and Bar, patrons enjoy a casual setting with Sydney’s coldest martinis, draught beer, and a world-class wine list. If you’re feeling hungry, indulge in a rotisserie beef or mushroom and hot chip butty.
Happy Hour in the bar runs from 4 pm to 6 pm, offering Alfie’s Martini ($17), Yuzu & Peach Spritz ($14), a Butcher of Beer (Philter, $3), Gin & Tonic ($8), white and red wine ($10), and a hot chip spit-roast beef or mushroom butty ($17). No bookings are required for the bar.
The Dining Room at the rear is where the action intensifies. The space is a theatre—sounds are dapper, art has a unique flavour, and meat is prepared in your gaze alongside a red glow cast from the dry age. It exudes newness, wrapped in an impactful, rousing, and buzzy atmosphere. Reserve a table or try your luck securing a walk-in spot.
Sit down and order a $45, 220g Riverine sirloin, wet and dry-aged on-site for maximum flavour, cooked over fire on Alfie’s custom-made grill, guaranteed to be on your table within 15 minutes of ordering. Choose from a range of creative and addictive sides designed to complement the perfect cut, available in full or half portions, such as Alfie’s bubble and squeak slaw, Risoni, roast mushrooms, cucumber salad, potato mash, fire-roasted baby carrots, and hot chips with chip shop curry sauce.
To cap it off, in collaboration with Ciccone & Sons, we’ll send you on your way with seriously flavourful homemade gelato made from burnt honey, beef fat, and rosemary.
What's On
Happy Hour
From 4 to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, Happy Hour kicks in at the bar. No bookings, no secret password, just a stool, a good pour and the best part of the afternoon. Martinis, spritzes, gin and tonics and house wine, all at their best hour. Stay for a drink or stay for dinner.
Melbourne Cup
One race. Three minutes. The rest of the day is yours.
Melbourne Cup, Tuesday 3 November. Alfie’s goes to one group only. The full venue, the bar, the dining room, the DJ booth. No mixed tables, no strangers, no 200-seat function room with a numbered ticket and a warm glass of something. Just your people and our fire.
Doors at 11:30. Champagne and canapés at the bar while the field’s still warming up. Then you’re at the table: 220 grams of Riverine sirloin a head, cooked over fire, three sides down the middle. Dessert lands after the race is run.
Four hours. Out by four. Back on the street with a buzz.
Up to 65 seated, from 40. Minimum spend $12,000. Add an MC, a DJ after the race, and a martini at -10 degrees if the day calls for it. It usually does.
